Daughters of Mary Mother of Hope: A Newly Erected Pious Association By now Sr. Ann Francesca and her children who are physically or mentally challenged are quite familiar to many of us Fathers and Sisters I suppose. They have performed and exhibited their musical and acting talents on some special occasions in some places. Even intellectually a few of them are able to put to shame some of the normally healthy children. These children are able to grow as dignified human beings thanks to the genuine love and care they receive from the Sisters and other volunteers. Such an honestly Christian, nay humanitarian, work of the Sisters at the Flame of Hope is really commendable. The Bishop of Bagdogra Diocese under whose jurisdiction the Flame of Hope is, having observed this very genuine and honest yeoman service of the Sisters, erected the Daughters of Mary Mother of Hope as they call themselves, as a Public Association of Faithful, according to the Canon312, §1, 3* on 9 April 2018 on the occasion of the Solemnity of Annunciation of Our Lord. It was held during Mass in the Flame of Hope in the evening in the presence of several Fathers and Sisters. We wish the Daughters of Mary Mother of Hope every best in their witnessing ministry and humanitarian service to the deserving children.
